Casey Joe Shanahan

Casey Joe Shanahan, age 44 of Waconia and formerly Norwood Young America passed away on Tuesday April 23, 2024. He left us far too soon, but his impact on our lives will endure forever. 

Casey Joe Shanahan was born July 8, 1979 in Waconia, the son of Kevin Shanahan and Debra (Hauge) Shanahan.  Casey grew up in Norwood Young America and was a graduate of Central High School.  After high school Casey began his career in construction, first working with his uncle Pat Shanahan, and then continuing with Pella and Greystone.  Casey was more than just a skilled carpenter, he was a true craftsman. His creations were not merely structures, but expressions of his passion and talent. Whether it was woodworking or other artistic pursuits, he poured his soul into his creations, leaving behind a trail of masterpieces that will be treasured for years to come.

Beyond his creative endeavors, Casey found solace and joy in the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, finding peace and fulfillment in the serenity of nature. Casey had a wonderful sense of humor and those that knew him will miss his understanding nature.  He was a friend to everyone he met.

Casey was a shining example of love and devotion. His love knew no bounds, and his legacy of kindness will live on in the hearts of his children forever.

Casey is preceded in death by his grandparents John and Pearl Shanahan; uncle Pat Shanahan.

Casey is survived by his children Madison Franck and her friend Malcolm, Devin Larson, Caden Shanahan, Brodan Shanahan, Allyanna Shanahan; father Kevin (Carb) Shanahan and his fiancée Linda Baldwin; mother Debra Shanahan; sisters Jessica Erickson and her husband Tim, Jennifer Thompson and her husband Pete, Amanda Shanahan; life partner Monica Turner; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
