Kelsey Wienandt, NP Area Historical Society Garden Tour 7-9-24

Kelsey Wienandt from the New Prague Area Historical Society spoke about its first ever Garden Tour on July 13th.  She talked about the conception of the idea, the gardens which will be visited, historic homes too.  Lunch will be served, garden presentations will be made, gardening demonstrations as well.      

Bill Stangler and Don Meyers, Echo’s Big Band, Music at the Broz Concert 7-9-24

Bill Stangler and Don Meyers from the Echo’s Big Band promoted their appearance at the Music at the Broz Summer Concert on July 11th.  They gave the history of the band, current make up, example of songs they play, and extended an invitation to take in the free event.

Julie Harmon with the Le Sueur County Relay For Life which is Friday the 12th at the Le Sueur County Fairgrounds starting at 5pm.  She gave an explanation of the American Cancer Society, history of the event, and what can be expected that night including a special Survivor Lap.

Tom Eisert Mayor of Montgomery made his monthly appearance and gave information concerning blight enforcement, schedule for repairs on main street, budget preparation, Music in the Park, and Kolacky Days.

Tackle Terry Tuma made his weekly appearance on the Berger Interiors News at Noon and shared his fishing tips, including best speeds for trolling with crankbaits. He described what are and how to use swimbaits. And provided info on using jig worms for catching Bass.

New Prague Mayor Duane Jirik gave a preview of tonight’s City Council Agenda.  He spoke of the rain slowing down street projects and construction of a Dog Park.  He also provided a recap of Channel 9’s New Prague Stop of their Town Ball Tour.
