New Ulm St. Patrick’s Day Parade is at 5pm

The longest continuous St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Minnesota is celebrating 60 years today. NICOLLET CALLED TO BRUSH FIRE

The Nicollet Fire Department was called to a brush fire on Old River Bluff Road at 6:40 Sunday evening.  Crews say the fire was reportedly fifteen feet in diameter.  Crews were able to clear the scene at 7:08 pm.  No injuries were reported.

ST. PATRICK’S DWI ENFORCEMENT

Law enforcement agencies are cracking down on drunk driving for the St. Patrick’s Holiday.  The extra enforcement runs through Monday and is coordinated by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Office of Traffic Safety.  Statistics show that through early March, 51 people have died on Minnesota roads with seven of those linked to alcohol use.  […]

Hanska Fire Department Fundraiser on Sunday

Hanska Fire Department’s Rick Wellmann says Sunday’s Breakfast will be served from 8am-12noon at the Hanska Community Center.  All you can eat Dad’s Famous Belgian Waffles served with Hanska sausages.  Take outs and delivery available.

MEEKER COUNTY BARN DESTROYED BY FIRE

A Meeker County barn is a complete loss after a fire Wednesday.  Deputies responded to the fire in Union Grove Township around 9:30 pm.  The barn was completely engulfed in flames when authorities arrived.  No one was hurt.  It’s believed an electric heat lamp was the cause.                 […]
