CHANGES COMING TO HIGHWAY 169 AND SOUTH WASHINGTON AVENUE INTERSECTION IN ST. PETER

MnDOT says that if you use the Highway 169 intersection with South Washington Avenue on the south side of St. Peter, you will encounter turning restrictions starting Wednesday.  Northbound 169 motorists will no longer be able to turn left onto South Washington Avenue and motorists on South Washington will no longer be able to turn left onto northbound Highway 169.  Modifications are being made in response to the intersection’s poor safety performance with 13 crashes in the past ten years, three of which resulted in five fatalities.  You will need to find alternate routes if you have plans to travel that way.
