CHARGES FILED IN KWIK TRIP STABBING

Second-degree murder charges have been filed against 28-year-old Michael Lee Miller in the stabbing death of a Kwik Trip employee in Mankato early Tuesday morning.  Court documents say police were called just after 3 am because Miller was inside the store breaking stuff.  As officers were responding, they received another call that Miller had left the business.  When authorities arrived, they found 34-year-old Dennis Vosika behind the counter with multiple knife wounds.  He later died at Mankato Hospital.  Store surveillance video identified Miller as the suspect.  Miller allegedly told police during the interview that he wasn’t originally going to stab Vosika but he was going to “set the place on fire.”  A second-degree murder charge in Minnesota carries a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison.
