Charles W. More, age 84 of Le Sueur, passed away peacefully at his home on January 20, 2025. Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Le Sueur at 11 A.M. Visitation will be held at the church that morning from 9-11 A.M. Knights of Columbus Rosary to begin at 8:45 A.M. Following the service, lunch will be held at the American Legion in Le Center, MN. Interment at a later date.

Charlie was born in Le Sueur on July 25, 1940 to Willis “Dinty” and Carna (Hjelmervik) More. He was raised here and attended Le Sueur schools until his graduation from Le Sueur High School in 1958. He married Mary Schleif on November 23, 1963, at St. Anne’s Church, in Le Sueur and together they raised 3 children. Charlie served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962 and graduated from Mankato State College in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Following his schooling, Charlie worked the majority of his career in the insurance industry. After retirement he wintered in New Braunfels, TX.

Charlie was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Jaycees, and a founding member of the Dakota Anglers. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening, metal detecting, singing & playing music (piano, guitar, concertina & button accordion) and an “occasional” Budweiser. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family and many friends.

He is survived by his children, Kristen (Jeff) Rykhus of Kasota, MN, David (Margaret) More of Le Sueur, MN, and William “Billy” More of Eagan, MN; grandchildren, Justin (Priyanka) More, Mary More, Julia More, Ethan Rykhus and Ambria Rykhus; special friend, Joanie Wacker; brother, Alan More of Norman, OK; and sister, Judy (Stan) Bielejeski of Cape Coral, FL.

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary in 2012; and siblings, Todd More and Shari Stief-Matznick.
