Charlie Kirk Shooting Suspect in Custody

(ABC News) Authorities in Utah say a suspect is in custody connected to the fatal shooting of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk.

The suspect has been identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson.

Both Kash Patel, the FBI director, and Utah Governor Spencer Cox thanked the public for their help.

Apparently it was a family member who saw something and discussed it with Tyler Robinson and convinced him somehow to turn himself in.

Apparently there was some give-and-take but eventually Tyler Robinson turned himself in to authorities very late last night (Thursday).

The authorities say that recently the family noticed Robinson was becoming a bit more political. Some acquaintances of his said they never heard him talk politically. But according to the family and what they told investigators, he had become more political and at a recent dinner he even mentioned Charlie Kirk coming to the UVU campus.
