Christine Nicole, born January 19, 1968, passed away on June 11, 2025, leaving behind a life full of grit, generosity, and love. She was a woman of deep feeling, sharp wit, and a fire that couldn’t be tamed. To those who knew her, she was a force- sometimes hard, always kind, and always real.
Christine gave life to Manda Ziegelman and Joe Walker. She was proud of their independence, resilience, and spirit. Their bond was complex but rooted in loyalty, love, and thoughtfulness.
Chrissy gave all she had to the people she loved. No one left her home without a plate of food, a bag of trinkets, or a box of treasures. Creative & crafty, she could make something out of nothing with her hands, imagination, and thrift store finds. She had a special gift for finding joy in small things and turning them into something meaningful.
Her greatest joy was being “GiGi” to her granddaughter Kora, the light of her life. Watching her grow gave Christine purpose, pride, and peace.
She is survived by her children: Manda, Joe, and Karly; granddaughter: Kora; father: Gordy (Donna); siblings: Brian (Lori) Ziegelman, Michael Yates (Tamarja) Ziegelman; stepbrothers: Mark and Kevin; nieces: Elisha, Alexis, Signe, and Estelle; nephew: Darren; aunt: Evadne; many cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews, aunt and friends.
Preceded in death by her mother: Cheri Ziegelman; her long deceased husband: Troy Walker; and her beloved pets Shadow, Kiki, and Birdie.
In lieu of flowers, please consider doing something kind in her name, donating to a cause close to your heart, or planting something beautiful in your garden. She loved tending to her flowers & herbs, chatting with the rabbits, and finding joy in the little things that grew. Let something bloom for her.
Arrangements are with Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, MN.
