City Offers Clean-Up After Heavy Rain and High Winds Hit Hutchinson Area

A thunderstorm moving through the Hutchinson area Thursday evening brought heavy rains and damaging winds.

Several large branches were seen broken off trees in Hutchinson.

Small branches were also littered around town.

Due to the strength of the storm, the city will be declaring a storm event and offering brush pickup to city residents from Monday June 16th through Monday June 30th.

You’re asked to use the submit a problem form on the city’s website (Report a Problem – City of Hutchinson) to report the address of your brush pickup or call 320-234-4219.

Brush piles need to be reported using either of these methods to be eligible for pickup.

Brush should be piled parallel with the curb line as close to the curb as possible without laying in the street.

City crews will not enter private property to pick up brush.
