Clark Victory in District 60 Gives Democrats Control of MN Senate
(Learfield News/Minneapolis, MN) — A big win in Tuesday’s special election in Minneapolis gives Democrats back control of the Minnesota Senate.
DFL candidate Doron Clark topped Republican Abigail Wolters by a 91-to-9 percent margin in the Senate District 60 race.
Clark fills the seat of the late Senator Kari Dziedzic, who died of cancer in December.
Republicans and Democrats were tied with 33 members in the Senate.
The DFL regains its one-vote majority for the remainder of the session.
