College Hockey this weekend
(undated/Minnesota News Network) — After a rocky start to the season, the Gopher men’s hockey team will try and keep their good play of late going this weekend when they host Long Island for a pair. Last weekend, the Gophers stopped a four game skid by sweeping Norte Dame. Those two wins pushed Minnesota to a 4-7-1 record. Tonight they’ll face L-I-U at 7:30 P-M with the rematch coming tomorrow night at 5 P-M. This weekend in the N-C-H-C, Minnesota Duluth will host Omaha for a pair at AMSOIL Arena starting tonight at 7 P-M. In the C-C-H-A, Minnesota State will spend the weekend at Lake Superior State while Bemidi State will face Michigan Tech on the road. And in Sioux Falls, the Tommies and Vikings will square off on Saturday at 6 P-M for a match up tomorrow night at Midco Arena. In the W-C-H-A, the Gophers and Bemidji State will meet at Ridder Arena starting this afternoon. Meanwhile, U-M-D will face St. Thomas this weekend and St. Cloud State will host the Badgers. Minnesota State will spend the weekend in Columbus against Ohio State.
