Collier wins Player of the Month
(Minneapolis, MN/Minnesota News Network) — Minnesota star forward Napheesa Collier is putting together another superstar season. The Lynx forward was named the W-N-B-A Western Conference Player of the Month yesterday. Collier averaged 26-point-eight points and seven-point-eight rebounds during the month of May, and she’s helped the Lynx race out to an 8-0 start this season. In other team news, the Lynx waived center Marieme Badiane. She had played in three of the team’s eight games. Minnesota visits Dallas on Sunday.
