COMMISSIONERS APPROVE DRONE PURCHASE
Brown County Commissioners approved the purchase of a drone Tuesday. The state contract price is over $9100 and commissioners unanimously approved it. Emergency personnel says drones are useful in monitoring flood situations, finding missing or lost children this new drone can get airborne in 45 seconds. The drone would be able to fly up to 45 miles per hour in winds up to 27 miles per hour and will come with a thermal camera along with a conventional one, spotlight, two chargers, four batteries that last up to 40 minutes and can be charged in 40 minutes.
