COMMISSIONERS LEARN 2024 COUNTY ELECTION RESULTS WERE ACCURATE

2024 election counts were accurate.  That’s what the New Ulm League of Women Voters told the Brown County Board of Commissioners Tuesday.   The election report was made by 160 Minnesota League of Women Voters trained volunteers and members who observed the election in 43 of Minnesota’s 87 counties.  The post-election review process includes a canvassing board of review and any discrepancies are investigated for resolution.  Ballots are hand-counted to verify machine accuracy.  There had been doubts among accuracy after challenges in Scott and Sherburne Counties.  In Scott County, 22 absentee ballots were accidentally thrown out before being counted by the absentee ballot board in Shakopee but the report says those discarded ballots wouldn’t have changed the election outcome.  You can find out more at lwv mn dot org.
