CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS PROVIDER TO LAYOFF EMPLOYEES
A construction company with locations in southern Minnesota has announced it will lay off nearly 300 employees. The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says Minnesota Paving and Materials will close 14 locations and lay off 297 employees across central and southern Minnesota. Among the locations closing will be New Ulm, Comfrey, Kasota, Owatonna and Mankato. DEED says the company’s last day of operation at these locations will be December 19. Minnesota Paving and Materials website says it is a leading provider of asphalt, paving services and aggregate across Minnesota.
