Craig Running for U.S. Senate

Rep. Angie Craig today (Tuesday) officially announced she is running for Minnesota’s soon-to-open U.S. Senate seat.

The seat is currently held by Sen. Tina Smith, who announced earlier this year she wouldn’t be seeking reelection in the 2026 election.

Democrats Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan and former state Sen. Melisa López Franzen are also running for the seat.

Republicans Royce White and Marissa Simonetti have indicated they’ll be running for the seat also.
