Crow River Valley announces Award Winners

The Crow River Valley Baseball League met last week to hand out end of season awards, designate Region 7C and District 7B hosts.
On the C side of things, it was a Brownton Bruins kind of night.  Scot Finberg, in his 4th season with the Bruins, was named the CRVL Class C MVP for the 2025 season.  Finberg, who hit .481 and was the league’s batting champion, also was among the league’s leaders in most offensive categories.  His teammate, Ryan Grams, was named the Pitcher of the Year.  Grams, who turned 40 this fall, led the league in wins and strikeouts, while also posting an ERA of 2.53.
The Class B CRVL MVP was Plato’s Tate Wischnack.  Wischnack hit over .500 to win the batting title, while also being among the league leaders in runs scored, doubles and triples.
The Pitcher of the Year in Class B was Watertown’s Jackson Hunter.  A newcomer to the league in 2025, Hunter took the league by storm.  He posted an ERA of less than 2.00 and was among the league’s leaders in strikeouts.  Hunter was drafted by Delano for the state tournament, where he went on to win three games for the A’s enroute to being names the state tournament MVP.
In other news, the Young America Cardinals will host the 2026 District 7B tournament at Wilkommen Park in Young America.  The host of the Region 7C tournament is still to be decided and won’t become official on the January meeting.
