Curtis Edward Wolff

Curtis Edward Wolff was born September 26th 1947 to Eddy & Betty (Turn)

Wolff. Curtis was raised in Lind Township. He was Baptized and Confirmed
at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, rural Greenbush.
Curtis attended school in Karlstad, graduating in 1966. After high
school, he attended college for 4 years in Minneapolis for carpentry
drafting. After finishing college, he moved back home & started
self-employed carpentry. Curtis was united in marriage to Marjean Olson
in June of 1973. From that union, they were blessed with two daughters
Kara & Kristi.
Curtis loved to travel with his family. With Curtis at the wheel &
Marjean navigating the maps, they took family trips with their daughters
visiting 47 states. They continued to travel as a couple to the rest of
the 50 states and to Europe. This love of traveling continued with their
5 grandchildren. From backpacking in the mountains, to many fishing
trips on the Rainy River, and many other adventures with them. His
great/grandchildren were more precious to him than gold.
Curtis enjoyed snowmobiling & deer hunting with his friends & family.
Taking ranger rides to check the garden, the mail, and the minnows.
Curtis & his wife enjoyed spending winters in South Padre TX & Yuma AZ
with their special friends. Enjoying summers at the Clemetson cabin
fishing & picking blueberries for Marjean’s homemade blueberry pie. He
enjoyed doing everything with his wife.
Curtis had a special talent for creating & building things. He was ready
& willing to tackle any projects Marjean came up with. Whether it be
building a cabin at Clemetson, turning a Kenworth Semi into a motor
home, turning a Sprinter van into a mini motor home, or taking a boat
trip together down the Mississippi, he was always game. His most
creative invention was taking an old cultivator & drag and turning them
into a working sawmill. Curtis made lumber from black ash, oak & pine,
using the boards to build cabinets for their home in Strathcona and
cabin, plus whatever the kids needed.
Curtis was a quiet, gentle man. He was able to communicate without
saying many words. His family knew his love by his actions. He taught
his family how to work hard, use your creativity to build things, and
most of all to love the Lord. He was a member of Grace Evangelical
Church of Strathcona for 45 yrs. He brought his family to this
small-town church and waited for the weekly service online when he was
no longer able to attend in person.
Curtis had an infectious smile that made others smile when he did.
Through all his years of health problems, he kept going & smiling.
Curtis passed into heaven on Sunday January 4th 2026 in his home
surrounded by his loving family.
Curtis is survived by wife Marjean of 52 years, daughters Kara (Dale)
