David Eugene Schmidgall

David Schmidgall, age 71 of Hancock, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, with his wife by his side at Glacial Trails in Starbuck, MN.

Visitation for David Schmidgall will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, MN.

Visitation will continue from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Apostolic Christian Faith Church, rural Hancock, MN.

Funeral services for David E. Schmidgall will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Apostolic Christian Faith Church, rural Hancock, MN, with the Apostolic Christian Faith Church Ministers officiating.

Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Faith Cemetery.

David Eugene Schmidgall, son of Eugene and Dorothy (Wendt) Schmidgall, was born September 17, 1953 in Morris, Minnesota. He grew up and attended school in Hancock, graduating from Hancock High school in 1972. He was baptized and became a member of the Apostolic Christian Church on March 23, 1980. He was united in marriage to June Eisemann on June 28, 1981 in Sarasota, Florida. David worked for the family business, Hancock Concrete, for 32 years. He loved being outdoors fishing, hunting, and spending time in the woods. David continued to live in Hancock until moving to Glacial Trails Memory Care in Starbuck in March of 2021.

David often expressed his thankfulness for God’s Amazing Grace, his Faith, his wife June, family and friends.

He is survived by his wife: June Schmidgall of Hancock, MN; two daughters: Amy Schmidgall of Hancock, MN, Tonia Schmidgall of Morris, MN; son: Joshua (Heidi) Schmidgall of Elgin, Iowa; twelve grandchildren: Jamie Schmidgall; Nevaeh, Danika, Hunter, and Gabriel Judkins; Sonia, Susan, Samuel, Simeon, Serena, Sylvia, and Steven Schmidgall; three brothers: Doug (Pat) Schmidgall of Morris, MN, Gary (Rose Peluso) Schmidgall of Anoka MN, Andy (Amy) Schmidgall of Morris, MN; three sisters: LuAnn (Mike) Brandt of Morris, MN, Patti (Troy) Wiese of Phoenix, Arizona, and Ruth White of Phoenix, AZ, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Eugene and Dorothy Schmidgall; and grandson: Trayton Judkins.
