DEADLY FIRE TRUCK CRASH INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
Authorities in southwestern Minnesota continue to investigate a deadly firetruck crash after the Lakeview High School homecoming events. The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office says a Wood Lake fire truck flipped on its side Friday night near Cottonwood. The report says a passenger – 43-year-old Steven Remiger of Wood Lake – was trapped under the truck and died at the scene. 37-year-old Andrew Vanhecke and a six-year-old boy were taken to a Sioux Falls hospital with life-threatening injuries. State troopers say alcohol may have been involved. The firetruck had been in the homecoming parade.
