DNR Officer Says Ice Conditions Are Improving

Authorities with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources are reporting improving ice conditions in the Thief River Falls area. 

Conservation Officer Sarah Jahn says that is leading more people to venture out onto the ice. Conservation Officer Jeremy Woinarowicz says bitterly cold weather kept hunters and anglers indoors during the middle of last week. 

Woinarowicz reports enforcement action for the week included failure to register deer and unlawfully leaving a stand in a wildlife management area. He says that last week the DNR removed those deer stands from wildlife management areas.
