Donald Quandt, age 67 of Morris, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Sanford Health Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.
Visitation for Donald Quandt will be held Friday, August 8, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Federated Church in Morris, Minnesota.
Visitation will continue from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Federated Church in Morris, MN.
Memorial services for Donald D. Quandt, Jr. will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Federated Church in Morris, MN, with Reverend Matthew Orendorff officiating.
Donald Drew Quandt, Jr. was born on June 11, 1958 in Appleton, Minnesota the son of Donald and Verna (Munsterman) Quandt, Sr. He was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Holloway on June 19, 1958 and confirmed at the same church in 1973. He attended school in Appleton and participated in wrestling. He is a 1976 graduate of Appleton High School.
On September 14, 1991, Donald married Dianne Rose Peterson at Federated Church in Morris. The couple made their home in Morris and had a son, Drew.
Donald worked at American Continental in Willmar, Pamida in Morris, and managed the Cenex South Store in Morris. He enjoyed his work at Cenex and the regular customers, but also embraced his solitude at home.
He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan, enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening and grilling. He was close to his family, had a great sense of humor, and had the heart of a caretaker.
He is survived by his wife: Dianne Quandt of Morris, MN; son: Drew Quandt of Hopkins, MN; his mother: Verna Quandt of Benson, MN; siblings: Dwight (Donna) Quandt of Villard, MN, Maureen (Robert) Erdman of Benson, MN, Marilyn Kent of Clontarf, MN, Deb (Terry) Quigley of Burnsville, MN, and Paul (Deb) Quandt of Faribault, MN; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father: Donald Quandt, Sr.; brother-in-law: Scott Kent; great-nephew: Nicholas Justen; grandparents; father and mother-in-law: Rolland J. and Geraldine Peterson; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
