Donna Rehm
Donna Rehm, 92 of Middle River, MN passed away on Monday April 8, 2024 at Villa St Vincent, Crookston, MN surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN, with Reverend Rena Peterson officiating. The burial will be in Christine Cemetery, Christine, ND at 3:30 PM. (20 miles south of Fargo, on old Highway 81). Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Donna Joan Moe was born March 8, 1932, in Fargo, ND, the daughter of Ole and Pauline (Pederson) Moe. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and attended the Golden Ridge School, Fargo, ND. Following school Donna attended two years of Business College in Bemidji, MN, and Nurse’s Training. She was an L. P. N. for 20 years, worked at Head Start for 3 years and was a schoolteacher assistant for one year in Strandquist, MN.
Donna was united in marriage to Marvin Mapes in 1947 and to this union three children were born, Evan, Timothy and Pamela.
On October 7, 1961, Donna married Louis Rehm in Sisseton, SD. To this union four children were born and raised, Joan, Michael, Kimberly and Dawn.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Middle River, MN, American Legion Auxiliary, Post #444, Middle River, MN and V.F.W. Auxiliary in Thief River Falls, MN, a life member of Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion of Rollag, MN. Donna was a previous member of the Lutheran Church in Staples, MN, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and was an active member of the church circle.
Donna enjoyed camping, dancing, crocheting, crafts and loved spending time at the lake with her family. She was always lending a helping hand whenever needed. She loved raising her family and being a foster parent to multiple children.
Donna is survived by children: Evan (Gloria) Mapes, Timothy (Gail) Mapes, Pamela Issendorf, Joan King, Michael Rehm, Kimberly (Matthew) Ferry and Dawn (John) Brydon; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by parents; husbands, Marvin Mapes and Louis Rehm; grandsons: Christopher Issendorf and Christian Skadsem; siblings, Harlan Moe, Irene Fogel, Dorothy Bartholomay, Vernon Moe, Pearl Bearfield; grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
