Downtown Hutchinson Apartment Complex to be Built

Construction on a new apartment complex in downtown Hutchinson is nearing after the city council this week approved a couple of resolutions aimed at getting the ball rolling.

“The Landing,” a 20-million-dollar 81-unit market rate apartment complex will be built on the old medical clinic site located at 126 Franklin Street North.

The council approved a resolution establishing the site as a Tax Increment Financing District and a resolution selling the site to The Landing LLC for $1.00.

The city has been working on redevelopment of that site since 2016.
