DOZENS OF STATES SUE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION OVER SNAP BENEFIT SUSPENSION

Half of the states are suing the Trump administration over suspension of the SNAP benefits.  The lawsuit seeks to maintain funding of benefits during the federal government shutdown.  SNAP provides food stamps to over 40-million Americans.  A group of state attorneys general including Minnesota, sued the Trump administration Tuesday.  Other states suing – Arizona, Connecticut, Colorado, Delaware, California, Massachusetts, Washington, DC, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland,  Michigan, Maine, Wisconsin, New Jersey, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Washington.
