Driver and Passenger Injured in McLeod Co Crash

A driver and her 3-year-old passenger were injured in a two-vehicle crash in McLeod County Friday east of Plato.

The State Patrol says 37-year-old Laura Berg of Bird Island and her 3-year-old passenger were taken to Glencoe Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The Patrol says she was westbound on Highway 212 attempting to make a U-turn at Acorn Avenue.

A semi, driven by 56-year-old Charles Dzurenka of Windsor Connecticut, was also traveling westbound on Highway 212 when the collision occurred. He was not injured.

The crash happened just before noon.
