DRIVER CHARGED IN RENVILLE COUNTY HIGH-SPEED CHASE
A Burnsville woman has been charged after a high-speed chase Tuesday evening in Renville County. 30-year-old Kathryn Taylor Hansing-McDonald has been charged with first-degree assault, fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle and 4th-degree DWI. Authorities say Olivia police tried to pull over Hansing-McDonald for speeding through Olivia but after she pulled over, she took off. A chase ensued reaching speeds reportedly around 113 miles per hour. Her vehicle was disabled by stop sticks and she was arrested near Highway 212 and County Road 1 near Danube. At one point, she forced a Renville County deputy off the road. She is being held in the Renville County jail on $60,000 without conditions, $30,000 with.
