Driver Injured in Car/Deer Crash in Sibley Co

A driver was injured when her car hit a deer in Sibley County Thursday night east of Winthrop.

The State Patrol says 24-year-old Samantha Leighton of Arlington was taken to Hutchinson Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The Patrol says Leighton was traveling westbound on Highway 19 about one mile east of Winthrop when she hit a deer.

The crash happened just after 10pm.
