Driver Injured in Renville County Crash

One driver was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Renville County Saturday afternoon in Olivia.

The State Patrol says 26-year-old Roman Gertken of Richmond was taken to Olivia Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. A passenger in his vehicle, 29-year-old April Benavidez of Danube, was not injured.

The driver of the other vehicle, 51-year-old Cruz Mendez of Eagle Pass, Texas, was not injured.

The crash happened at the intersection of Highways 212 and 71 shortly before 5pm.
