Duluth, Mankato both earn spots in NCAA Hockey Tournament

(Undated/Minnesota News Network) — Minnesota-Duluth and Minnesota State-Mankato will represent the state of Minnesota in the N-C-A-A Men’s Hockey Championship Tournament. The sixth-ranked Bulldogs are 23-14-and-1 on the season and will skate against tenth-rated Penn State on Friday night at 8 P-M in Albany, New York. The Nittany Lions are 21-13-and-2. The 22-10-and-7 Mavericks have drawn defending national champion Western Michigan for a Friday afternoon tilt at 1:30 P-M in Loveland, Colorado. The Broncos are 26-10-and-1. The N-C-A-A Men’s Hockey Championship is a 16-team bracket.
