Eden Valley Man Dies After Being Found in Tanker Trailer

An Eden Valley man is dead after he was found in a tanker trailer in Meeker County Tuesday morning.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says at 9:47am, deputies responded to 23588 County Road 34 in Eden Lake Township for a medical incident involving a 25-year-old man who fell into a 42-foot tanker trailer and was unresponsive.

The tanker trailer was for DAF water and had approximately 1.5 feet of water inside when he was found.

Elder Salgado Gonzalez was pulled from the trailer and lifesaving measures were attempted. He was transported to Paynesville Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

It was reported that Gonzalez was cleaning the trailer with a hose prior to being found.
