Edwards and McDaniels Lead Timberwolves Past Hornets, 125-110

CHARLOTTE, NC – Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels each scored 29 points as the Minnesota Timberwolves secured a 125-110 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night.

Julius Randle came close to a triple-double, finishing with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists, helping Minnesota notch its third straight win. McDaniels also contributed 10 rebounds in the effort.

For Charlotte, LaMelo Ball put up 28 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists, while Miles Bridges added 23 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. However, the Hornets’ struggles continued as they dropped their eighth consecutive game.

Minnesota took control with 5:40 left in the first quarter and never relinquished the lead. By halftime, the Timberwolves were up 65-58, with Edwards scoring 16 points in the first two quarters.

Donte DiVincenzo returned to the starting lineup after recovering from a toe injury and chipped in 16 points.

Charlotte has now endured three separate eight-game losing streaks this season, including a previous 10-game skid.

Minnesota put the game out of reach with a decisive 10-0 run in the fourth quarter, stretching a 12-point lead to 22. The Timberwolves also dominated from beyond the arc, outscoring the Hornets by 27 points on three-pointers, making 21 compared to Charlotte’s 12.
