Edwards scores 37 to lead Timberwolves past Clippers 108-106

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Anthony Edwards erupted for 28 of his 37 points in the second half, leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to a thrilling 108-106 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night. Edwards, who scored a career-high 53 points in a loss to Detroit on Saturday, finished 14-of-29 from the floor, including two clutch three-pointers to mark his eighth game of the season with 30 or more points.

Naz Reid contributed 18 points off the bench, while Donte DiVincenzo added 15 for Minnesota, which snapped a three-game losing streak. Rudy Gobert was pivotal in the win, recording eight points and grabbing a game-high 18 rebounds.

For Los Angeles, Norman Powell led the charge with 25 points, James Harden scored 22, and Ivica Zubac posted 17 points along with 16 rebounds. Despite their efforts, the Clippers have now dropped three of their last four games.

With the Timberwolves trailing by one, Edwards hit a smooth step-back three-pointer with 1:12 left. After Zubac missed a layup for the Clippers, Edwards sealed the game by knocking down another three with 34.4 seconds remaining, putting Minnesota ahead 106-101.

Next up, the Clippers will head to Denver on Wednesday, while the Timberwolves travel to New Orleans on Tuesday.
