Edwards scores 41 to lift Timberwolves over Houston 127-114

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Anthony Edwards delivered a stellar performance with 41 points, seven rebounds, and six assists on Thursday night, leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 127-114 victory over the Houston Rockets. This came just one night after he scored 49 points in a win over the Chicago Bulls.

Edwards was unstoppable from the start, scoring 18 points in the first quarter and 16 more in the final period. Houston had a six-point lead going into the fourth, but Rudy Gobert’s back-to-back dunks and Edwards’ three 3-pointers quickly shifted the momentum. Minnesota outscored the Rockets 35-16 in the final quarter to secure the win.

Jaylen Clark also had a career night, contributing 17 points, while Naz Reid added 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Jalen Green led Houston with 28 points, and Alperen Sengun chipped in 16 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists. Despite the effort, the Rockets fell to their fifth consecutive loss.

Houston, once one of the league’s top road teams with 17 victories, has now lost four straight on the road. Meanwhile, Minnesota, playing the fourth of five straight home games, improved to 14-12 at home, with strong back-to-back performances suggesting they may be finding their rhythm.

Both teams will be back in action on Saturday, with the Rockets heading to Dallas and the Timberwolves hosting Portland.
