Emergency Management Update at Stevens County Commissioners Meeting

Stevens and Big Stone County Emergency Manager Dona Greiner offered an Emergency Management update to the Stevens County Board of Commissioners this week. She noted that federal FEMA dollars to the State of Minnesota have decreased 8 to 10 percent. Greiner said she spent $500,000 last week on funding the radio system ARMOR. That amount, she said, made her “nervous.” Emergency training sessions will be held in Morris and Willmar. Following her update, the Commissioners approved a Hazard Mitigation Plan for funding.
