Emmer Rips Democrats for ‘Misleading Public’ Over Epstein Files

(Learfield News/Washington, DC) — There was overwhelming bipartisan support in Congress to advance a measure allowing the release of Jeffrey Epstein files.

But House Republican Majority Whip Tom Emmer accused the other party of “opposing President Trump and his successful agenda at every turn.”

Emmer told reporters, “And where Democrats chase headlines and mislead the public, Republicans are actually pursuing transparency and justice. The contrast could not be more clear. Republicans govern; Democrats obstruct.”

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar said in a statement, “the American people deserve to know who enabled Jeffrey Epstein, who looked the other way, and who’s still being protected.”

President Trump has said he’ll sign the measure.
