Eric Church Plans To Build 100 Homes For Hurricane Helene Victims
Eric Church continues giving with his charity, Chief Cares. He just purchased land in Avery County, North Carolina and plans to build 100 homes for 100 families that were displaced by Hurricane Helene last year. The project is called “Blueprint for Blue Ridge” and it plans to break ground in April. The hope is to have 40 homes that are move-in ready by June.
Eric said, “Any time a community needs help, it’s always the community next door that comes running to help. [But] they’ve all been devastated. So, we’ve made it our mission at Chief Cares to be that community next door.”
What is “Chief Cares”?
Chief Cares was established by Eric and Katherine Church in 2013 to impact lives and make a difference not only in the United States but throughout the world.
The Church’s charitable fund is administered by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, a registered nonprofit that has connected generosity with need by distributing more than $1.2 billion over the past three decades.
Thus far, donations to Chief Cares have been utilized to provide support to underprivileged families and children throughout Tennessee and Eric’s home state of North Carolina. Internationally, gifts also have helped to supply beds and clothing to an orphanage in Nepal and create educational opportunities for children that otherwise would never have the chance to go to school; deliver bibles and aid to Haiti; provide operational financial assistance to the Humane Society’s no-kill animal shelters; and make an impact on additional causes close to Eric and Katherine’s hearts.
