Faber named finalist for top rookie award

(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota Wild defenseman Brock Faber is in the running for the Calder Trophy. The N-H-L announced Faber is one of three finalists for the award, along side Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard and New Jersey Devils defenseman Luke Hughes. The trophy is awarded to the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition. Faber, a second round pick in 2020, finished the season with eight goals and 39 assists for 47 points with the Wild. He is a former Golden Gopher star from Maple Grove. The award winner will be announced on June 27th.
