Fatal Cottonwood Co Crash

A man from Comfrey died and a Montevideo man was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Cottonwood County Monday morning.

The State Patrol says 81-year-old Jerry Evers of Comfrey died at the scene.

Fifty-four-year-old Scott Burdorf of Montevideo was taken to Windom Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened at the intersection of Highways 30 and 71 just after 10am.
