FATAL CRASH NEAR OWATONNA

The state patrol was called to a fatal crash involving a Kia Optima and around 4:25 Monday morning on Highway 14 just west of Highway 218 near Owatonna.  Authorities say both were eastbound on Highway 14 when they collided.  The Kia was driven by 23-year-old Nybol Dhul of Rosemount.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.   The semi was driven by 48-year-old Zachary Bauer of St. Peter.  He wasn’t hurt.  The crash closed Highway 14 for several hours Monday morning.  Owatonna police and fire, Steele County Sheriff’s Office and Mayo ambulance assisted at the scene.
