FATAL FARM ACCIDENT INVESTIGATING IN RURAL AMBOY
A fatal farm accident near Amboy Sunday afternoon is being investigated. Blue Earth County dispatchers received a call around 4 pm of a man who was found unresponsive under a large tire at a farm on 100th Street in rural Amboy. The Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as 68-year-old Douglas Harold Saunders. Authorities say it appears Sanders was trying to move a large sprayer tire weighing several hundred pounds inside his machine shed and became pinned between it and the planter. The sheriff’s office and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s office are investigating.
