Fatal Kandiyohi Co Vehicle vs Bike Crash

A bicyclist died in a crash with a minivan in Kandiyohi County Wednesday night just north of Svea.

The Sheriff’s Office says a minivan operated by a 59-year-old Lake Lillian woman was eastbound on 120th Ave SE just east of 15th Street SE and was overtaking an eastbound bicycle, operated by a 54-year-old Lake Lillian man.  As the mini-van passed the bicyclist in the westbound lane, the bicyclist entered the westbound lane and was struck by the minivan.

The bicyclist died at the scene. His name has not been released.
