Fatal Litchfield Fire

(Litchfield MN-) Two people are dead after a fire in Litchfield early Monday morning.

The Litchfield Police Department says at just after 2am, emergency and fire crews responded to a structure fire in the 400 Block of South Austin Avenue.

According to a press release, the structure was an attached garage and residence, which were a total loss.

The bodies of Gregri Johnson and Barbara Johnson, both 73 years old, were located inside the residence.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Litchfield Police Department, Litchfield Fire Department, State Fire Marshals Office, and Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.
