Update: Fatal McLeod County Crash

Authorities have released more information on a fatal crash involving two vehicles in McLeod County that happened just before 9:30 Tuesday morning on the east side of Silver Lake.

The State Patrol says 67-year-old Ardith Turvander of Winsted died at the scene. She was driving a car eastbound on Highway 7.

The driver of the other vehicle, 28-year-old Sebastion Diede of Marshall, was taken to Hutchinson Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. He was driving a pickup southbound on County Road 2 when the crash happened in the intersection.

The Patrol says Turvander was not wearing a seat belt.
