FBI Will Not Give BCA Evidence or Info in Fatal Shooting of Alex Pretti

(Learfield News/St. Paul, MN) — The FBI has formally notified the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) it will not provide state investigators with any information or evidence in the January 24th shooting death of Alex Pretti.

The BCA has reiterated its request for information, access to evidence, and cooperation in the January 7th fatal shooting of Renee Good and the January 14th shooting of Julio Sosa-Celis in north Minneapolis. At this time, it remains unclear whether any cooperation or information-sharing related to those cases will occur.

BCA Superintendent Drew Evans says, “While this lack of cooperation is both concerning and unprecedented, the BCA remains committed to conducting thorough, independent, and transparent investigations.”
