Fire at Meeker Co Jail

Authorities say construction sparks caused a fire at the Meeker County Jail in Litchfield Wednesday afternoon.

The Sheriff’s Office says maintenance staff put out the small fire in a jail cell with an extinguisher.

The Litchfield Fire Department then ventilated the facility.

There were no injuries or damage caused by the fire.
