Foligno Hat Trick leads Wild to win

(Toronto, ONT/Minnesota News Network) — Marcus Foligno scored his first career hat trick as the Wild doubled up the Maple Leafs 6-3 on Monday night in Toronto. Vladimir Tarasenko also scored twice and Ryan Hartman had the other as the Wild moved to 2-0-0 to open up their three game road trip out East. Filip Gustavsson made 27 saves in the victory as the Wild improved to 8-1-2 in their last 11 on the road. The win also moved them past Dallas for sole possession of second place in the Central Division with a 28-13-9 record and 65 points. The Leafs had won seven straight at home. The road trip continues tonight for the Wild in Montreal with a 6 P-M puck drop. Minnesota has won 18 of the last 19 against the Canadiens and four straight at Bell Centre.
