Former Montevideo Bus Driver Sentenced for Disseminating Child Sex Abuse Material
MONTEVIDEO — A former bus driver in Montevideo received a stayed sentence of 48 months in prison for his conviction on a felony charge of dissemination of pornographic work.
The West Central Tribune reports the judge ordered 40-year-old Paul James Norton of Montevideo to serve 360 days in jail as a condition of the stayed sentence.
During a hearing in Chippewa County District Court in Montevideo Friday (Nov 14), the court also ordered Norton to serve five years of supervised probation.
In September, Norton pleaded guilty to the dissemination charge. A felony charge of possession of a pornographic work of children under 14 years of age was dismissed in a plea agreement.
