Frost Freeze Vancouver

(St. Paul, MN/Minnesota News Network) — The Minnesota Frost got off to a fast start and cruised to a 4-1 win over Vancouver last night in the final game before the Olympic break. Kendall Cooper opened the scoring with her first of the year just 4:57 into the contest. That was followed by Britta Curl-Salemme and Kelly Pannek both getting on the board in the final three minutes of the period to open up the 3-0 lead. While Vancouver would spoil the shutout bid in the second period, Curl-Salemme’s second of the game iced the win into an empty net as the Frost net the victory. That’s two straight wins for Minnesota as they’ll be off until March due to the Olympics. Frost players Lee Stecklein, Kendall Coyne Schofield, Curl-Salemme, Taylor Heise, Kelly Pannek and Grace Zumwinkle all will represent Team U-S-A. Preliminary play begins on February 5th.
