Frost shut out Ottawa

(St. Paul, MN/Minnesota News Network) — The Minnesota Frost got a pair of goals from former Gopher star Kelly Pannek of Plymouth and routed Ottawa last night in St. Paul 5-0. Former Gopher Grace Zumwinkle of Excelsior added a goal and assist and former Gopher Taylor Heise of Red Wing also scored a goal on what was her 26th birthday. Former U-M-D standout Maddie Rooney was the winning netminder with 15 saves. The two-time defending champion Frost moved into a first-place tie with Boston in the P-W-H-L with 39 points. Minnesota will skate at Vancouver on Saturday at 2 P-M.
